how come there is green liquid in my protein skimm

i only have live rocks in my tank .

does it mean bacteria growing now ?

but the rocks have white patches on them

These white fungus looking things are quite normal to have on rocks. Need not worry about them and they are harmless. I've got a 6 and 8 year old tanks and they still grow and apprear here and there.

Its only natural to have all kinds of things growing here and there in your tank. Remember...we are not trying to create a sterlised clean room environment, but rather trying to replicate as close as possible to natural conditions in the sea.

MOST IMPORTANT ADVISE any experienced reefer can give you is "PATIENCE".

The more patient you are, the more likely you're succeed.

Wait for the full cycle period to complete. The longer ..the better...

Never Overstock!!!! Introduce Live Stock periodically and one at a time.

EASIER SAID THAN DONE! :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Every one is always anxious to add in new stock.
