Strange, how come no one reply to this survey??? Either it's a very difficult fish to keep or it's not readily available or it's not your typical favourite Tang. I was quite sad when my recently acquired Chevron Tang disappeared without a trace after only three days in my tank. Later when I read up some info on this fish, it seems that Chevron Tang likes to feast on live rocks and is quite indifferent to your usual marine food staple. So provision of live rocks is crucial to its survival. Has anyone here got any success with this fish? I thought of buying another one when the next Hawaii shipment arrives but if it's that difficult, I might just give it a miss. It saddens me to see a fish perish so quickly.

when u buy a fish, like the chevron, best to put it in a beta box and to make sure its feeding feed it pellets daily, once the fish gets used to it, release it:) best to use high quality pellets like New Life Spectrum.

ALl the best with your next chevron :D

Yo bro, got Qn.

Last time I try the method, my fish became rather stress and refuse to feed in the big fish trap. After 3 days, I release it and it began to eat soon after.

Do you think some fishes do feel entrap in tiny spaces leading to stress?

:)

Yeah Chevron is easy to keep in the long run... but the initial phase is the most critical. Make sure you learn about compatibility... make sure the Chevron will not get whacked by existing residents (aka bosses). All the best!

Yes it will. Furthermore, it is new environment and everything is seems to be weird for it. Usually a new fish wont eat and hides for 1 day. Very timid ones up to 2 days. However under some circumstances, they will feed immediately and will come out if you dont stand that near. For me, I dont use betta box because this will let the fish freak out on me.

hi bro, regarding the question earlier about fis getting stressed, well, i usually do it and so far no problems, i feel releasing a fish without seeing it eat is like playing a game of chance, normally once they can recognise the pellets as food, things should go alright :)

where can my fish lost in the jungle where by i building a condo. LOL

Don blur again leh.

the condos is build under your own constrction hand, under you the architect, and under your supervision. The condos no piling, can take out and change design at anytime so its not intact. I think your fishes will be worry when your contruction bull dozer hand goes in, LOL.

some reefers fishes still dont survive when they eat. it depends. But when eat, chances are a lot better.
