SRC Member Nickel Posted October 6, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted October 6, 2003 Right at the end of Kelantan Lane (where all those shops sell kitchen ware/cooker, etc) is a shop that custom cut to the size you want. I forgot the name and address of shop. Must go before 4.30pm and they will cut for you.

SRC Member Rufff Posted October 8, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted October 8, 2003 Thought most pple use styrofoam as the base 4 their tanks. U mean 4 marine tanks not possible?? Because of the weight?

Because of the weight? if place the tank on wrought iron the heavy weight of the tank + your rock and sand will compress your foam,.....best is used a plywood below to support it,.....if cabinet dont need liao the weight is distributed equally,.....as for wrought iron stand there is hole uder it mah if place your rock there the glass may have higher stress,..... SRC Member Rufff Posted October 8, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted October 8, 2003 Does it only apply to 3 ft (& above) marine tanks only? Coz they R much heavier - with the LR, sand, corals, etc? Ours is a 2 ft ... we R using a 2 inch styrofoam now but our tank is not as "packed" as others. Hope that will B sufficient.

TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE,........BEST TO PLACE ONE PLYWOOD TO HAVE BETTER BASE SUPPORT,......FOR 2FT I DONT THNK IT NEED,.......
