Bringing in LS from other country

On a general note, if you return from overseas (e.g. Jakarta) back to Singapore, you are allowed to carry up to a total weight of 5Kg (supposingly including water), a variety of fishes/clams, under the sole purpose of a hobby (that means not for commercial purpose).

If i can remember correctly, nakarozu brought in 5 clams from Indonesia (or is it Brunei)? Go check out his thread.

Bro Nakazoru always bring back corals from Jakarta. PM him :lol: Sure he will help you... coz he "kena" warning before... some protected species cannot bring in.

Check the CITES appendix for corals/LS/Inverts.

All classified in the Appendix needs permits from Singapore and countries of origin. They have their scientific names. Print out this list and show the customs if stopped that you know you stuff.

AVA is too vague in the description. They said Hard corals cannot bring in but actual fact is that most SPS and a few LPS cannot bring in without permit.

As for permit, forget the hassle, 30 days juz from AVA...
