i would say most tang are reef safe but some tang are known to makan clams as well, its really up to individual. as for angels, they are much more risky, however if you keep them full, the chance of them nipping or eating your clam will reduce.

I have 2 yellow tangs. I chose these as I thought they were reef safe and clam safe, does anyone house these with their clams? I was considering getting a coral beauty, a flame angle, a purple tang. what are peoples thoughts please. john :D

i had a clam tt clamp my purple tang till i dunno wad to do i keep forcing the clam to release my PT....

but the shell was simply shut tight and was determined to eat the PT up....

so i need to make a decision to give up 1 at tt moment....took 2 fork and pierce the clam open...till then the PT was half dead...but glad tt it is still alive swimming normally now..:lol:

:D

bro, there is hope yet. dwarf angels like flame, coral beauty are fine with clams...

"normal" angel i am not very sure.

if i were you, i will buy the angel/ dwarf angels first, let them settle in and feed them fat fat. then i will next buy the clam... you have to try it before you know... cos not all angels eat all clams...

子非鱼,焉知鱼之乐... (you are not the fish so you...)

Then: my 4FT low tech selling off tank... (2006)

Now: (2014)
