Hahaa.. bro u realy can read my mind :lol:

10 tubes of 3ft only use 390W but 4ft need 540W, that's one 150W MH different

I'm using internal overflow for the 4 footer, so the actual usable lenght is only one meter and given the 2.5ft width, 10 tubes can cover more area.

also no point shining into the overflow compartment :upsidedown:

Might go for 12 tubes if the width allow :ph34r: still planning

not using MH? not keeping SPS?

A bit wasted to do overflow internally from the scale of your project.Main tank should be bigger!!!

In reef central my main tank will be classify as Nano tank :lol:

That's the biggest size I can go in my living hall

I'm following Iwan Lasser's 1st house reef, he using pure T5 illumination & Tunze Stream for his Full SPS tank

His present tank is even better also using pure T5 illumination :ph34r: 12 ATI tubes

wohoo... piero u using what T5? can share your configurations?

:thanks::thanks:

ATI and aquascience.

2 blue plus, 2 super white, and 2aquascience 14K.

If U have looked at my thread, mine is a partition tank with rocks slopping from left to right, with the right side being the highest point of my tank. I placed all the frags sold/given to me by the brothers here. It is also the point where my tunze and return meet so the water movement is not bad too.

And cos all the corals are concentrated on the rockscape. which spans 1.5 ft (breadth). My 6 tubes configuration provides adequate lighting for all corals. Intend to keep the two side's sand bed clean and white and provide swimming space for my fishes.
