What Stuff To Add For Canister

Had just bought a canister but there is no medium provided. Have 3 trays in it.

Wonder if bros and sis and advise what normally needs to be in it? carbon, ceramic, coral chips etc?

I would say activated carbon, phosphate removal media (sorb4, RowaPhos etc..) and maybe Pura Nitratelock. Just my humble opinion.

Thanks Sapp. There is this filter wool in one of the tray, no need for that?

The filter wool will trap detritus and make the cannister filter becomes a nitrate factory. You can leave it inside but make sure you clean/replace them regularly so as to keep nitrate level low.

I got Sorb4 from AquaMarin and RowaPhos from Reef Depot. I do believe other lfs also sell them.

its nv cheap on keeping a marine tank.. however ur is a nano so u will only use abit no need to use the whole bottle so still save alot

my tank still in infant stage, as just started last week... still need to put in all those stuff? Or wait till cycled then start using? Sorry so many question, still new and trying to learn more
