stiring of sand bed is dangerous..

it might causes nitrates and other harmful substances from the sandbed to rise.

how ###### u never put ur tank thrend i c u reply to quite a few pple thrend???

stir e sandbed once in a while keep e trapped air bubble go up..

if no stir cyno likely to grow a layer...

of cus stir already muz vacuum away e dust mahz lolx...

else long liaoz ammonia also trap below sandbed..

i already have a 4 month old tank..dont intend to add any more stuffs le.thats why no need to start a thread.

i got 2 bubbles coral, 2 gsp, 1 ric, 1 green shrooms, 1 maroon and 1 regal tang.

my friend stirred his sand bed acidentally when he was vacuuming the tank and his nitrates went over 80ppm! you should try getting some nassarius snails so they slowly stir it over time before all the harmfull stuff had time to settle and turn to nitrates.

agreed.speaking of nassarius snails, its kinda hard for me to get them in lfs...

pasir ris farms dont have them.

Those snails difficult to get but they quite hardy. Unless u have hermits.

they are hard to find in my area too. i found one store that had the large one and one that had the very small ones. i got 5 large ones for $10.
