unknown death

I bought 1 damsel and 2 false clown. both clown pass away after 2 days suddenly though they looked ok on the first day.

the damsel now have swollen lips and not able to close the mouth. it eat a little and been swimming still.

anyone know what is the cause of the mouth infection?

my last batch of fish wiped out due to ich but i have left the tank fishless for 4wks.

there is a star polyp and 2 shrimp striving inside. so coudnt be bad water right?

water condition? water circulation? tank cycled? pls tell us more in order to help u. Those fishes u mentioned are really tough fishes, if u fail on these, there's a problem with ur setup.

yea....test ur water parameters with reliable test kits and u can tell us ur readings so that it is easier to detect the cause of death...

like what tiffanydunk had mention, if these 3 fishes die, there is a serious prob on ur water quality or either ur tank have nt complete the ANN cycle yet...

i believe i haven completed the ANN cycle yet. completed the tank quite hurryingly. so how do i complete the cycle now? with the shrimps and corals inside. just leave it and wait it out for a few weeks?

u can do tat.. but nt recommended.. sell ur corals and shrimps.. den re-do the whole thing.. patience is the key to success. Oh, meanwhile read up more. U will enjoy the process.

u can add nitrifying bacteria to speed up the cycling process too...be sure to add LRs..
