Hi experts..

I am getting a 5x2x2 tank in the near future..

have several questions which I hope the experts in here could help me out..

1) I plan to keep mostly LPS,clams and some SPS after my tank has matured. Do I need to get a Tunze for PH? or is there other alternative?

2) Is it okie to put in most of the liverock at one go or to stagger them out in weeks?

3) What filter media should I put in the sump? wool, polyfilter or ?

Thanks !!

Hi experts..

Congrats on your new found hobby! :D

You can use other alternative as long as you water flow rate is enough.... a combination of PH is one of the way to do it.... of course using Stream will be a better and more impressive way to do it IF the budget allows!

2) Is it okie to put in most of the liverock at one go or to stagger them out in weeks?

Yes, you can put them in one go.... Only to take note if you start the cycle with uncured LR, and after they are cured, dun put in anymore uncured ones.....

3) What filter media should I put in the sump? wool, polyfilter or ?

You can do a search on sumps.... see what most reefer does.....

Thanks !!

Welcome!!! :peace:

its ok to dump and scaped all the liverocks cured or uncured and then just cycle your tank empty with em' and wait till its fully cycle..

actually i tried polyfilter..

its not much good compared to chemi-pure.. i strongly recommend this after your tank finish cycle for protection when u add in livestocks scared u upset your tanks ecology..
