Hey anyone using ehim filter 2213??

do u guys have any problems with it??? mine seems to be blowing air bubbles out all the time... alot..when i move the filter a little big...how to solve this problem???

bubbles? thats only when you urh, remove the outlet piping to the rainbar portion right? or when you do filter maintenance?

i guess u din clear the air pockets properly...

fill up the canaister full first.. then reconnect it... yeah.. see whether still got air bubbles.. clear all the air pockets... hope this helps

Check your tube connections. Usually caused by loose connections.

If you are using a surface extractor..try not to let it suck in too much air..

then the filter media arrangement in the canister..u try to pack it close and remove the air pockets in it..

try filling up the canister completly with water then switch it back on..the bubbles will come out for awhile then stop..as suggested by the earlier post liao..

and check the piping..is it bent in any areas?

it should be a striaght line up and down..if u get my idea..

dun bend the pipes...

how about my 2215 media arrangment?

1 level 50% bioball.

2 level 35% CR.

3 level 15% bio home.

how long do i need to clean my canister filters or change my media?

up to u. u find ur water dirty, u change

I would recommend cleaning it once a month plus change of filter media (eg polyfilter, cotton wool, carbon, rowaphos...). This is my monthly husbandry routine. Too long of neglect and you could be building up a nitrate factory in there
