I've been told by John from AM. Hydor Koralia pump flow is wider than those Tunze pump (some ppl modify it and cut the impeller cover to get the wider flow). If the flow is narrow and too strong, the coral which get the direct flow may have danger of tissue rip off. ;)

there are 2 K4 running in my tank.

the flow is wide and gentle. no complain from me.

if your tank is 3ft x 1.5 x 2.5 and wanted to run with ur exsiting seio1100, you might want to consider smaller model like the K3.

If a man could beat his own fantasy. Then to only breed in captivity. Then its pointless.

Genesis 1:20

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

I am using both Koralia 4 and Tunze 6045 in my tank..

Wide-flow = K4 (can turn up to 60~70-deg only but since it is wide-flow..it is fine)

Strong-flow = Tunze 6045 (can turn 90-deg ...you can "aim" at certain angle)

If you look for Wide, then K4 else 6045 serve the same current-flow with slick "designer-look"..

WAH....so many reply and info...thanks all bro.

thinking of getting tunze 6060..but will it too strong?

or maybe just get K4 will be good enough?

well. if k4 as compare to serio 1100 no different, then no pt. in getting.

im getting something wider flow and maybe slightly stronger flow rate compare to serio 1100. slightly ...

so to conclude k4 or tunze 6060? or just remain as serio 1100 if no different btw k4 and serio 1100

I think 6060 will be too strong for most LPS.. ;)

K4 is definitely a better buy than SEIO 1100..

K4 or 6045? depends on your application.. I feel that K4 Wide-flow is "softer" compare to SEIO or Tunze which is better for coral in "close/near" distance. (My K4 was recommended by John,AM when deciding on K3 or K4 to buy :) )..

You won't go wrong with either one..

:thanks:

I used SEIO 4400 before I changed to Tunze 6000 and 6055.

I feel that the actual flow rate of Taiwan and China products claim may not be the same compared to US and Germany products especially after running them for 6 months or more.

Tunze 6060 should be too strong for your tank, the adjustment of horizontal angle is quite limited and the vertical (up/down) angle is fixed. Tunze 6045 may be a better choice in term of its size, flow rate and resell value compared to k4 in my opinion...

Any kind bros care to explain this a little more? I'm unable to comprehen the message leh....

I'm still deciding which to get? Is the above suitable for 4 by 2 by 2 footer of mainly LPS?

No more k3 and k4 at jlky AM.

Bought the 4. :P

Oh... so out of stock for now? That's okay....'cos I believe there will be new stock coming, right?

However, why do you need 4? I think I read that these are not sutiable to hook up with wave controller.... Its will spoil easily by doing so.
