Hi Guys! I have a problem of electrical surge on my water. I'm not sure how to isolate one by one without getting shocked. Any kind reefer have contacts of a qualified "marine electrician" out there? Really need help. Dare not touch the water now.

Thanks

Hi,

Steps that i ll carry out to find out the source of current leak.....

1. Get a test pen if you do not have 1....

2. Unplug 1 equipment at a time than test the water with the test pen...

3. Carry on until you find the source of current leak.

the test pen should light up if it detects current..

cheers

i also experience this ...lucky it is in my tank cycling period......and i manage to find out the faulty power pump.

may i koe if this electric in water will 'melt' any plastic ..etc in the water ...? will hence cause contaimination in the water?

and will it kill LS in the tank?

if u ground it to your plug's earth...it will trip your ELCB or MCB.

get rid of the pump or equipment, don't waste your time trying to repair (provided u have the knowledge and materials)

cuz not worth the time and danger of killing yourself and your love one.

usally it's the China products that have this problem, although the German stuff sometimes have it too but rarely...
