Care to share how you transfer?

Cause i,m about to do the same as you. :thanks:

live sand direct from seabed. newly mixed instant ocean saltwater. cured live rocks. put in tank. run protein skimmer and strong current. let it cycle by adding in one piece of meat. cycle for sometime until Nh3, no2, no3 is zero. then make sure PH, temp, salinity, kh, same as old tank. acclimatise the live stock into the tank and TADAA!!! everything still alive.

marine LFs in Malaysia sell marine fishes all at the same price be it big or small. SO if u happen to be there when the wholesaler does his delivery, u get to choose the big fishes at the same selling price.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have seen REALLY BIG fire clowns, tomato clowns, false percula clowns, maroon clowns, tangs etc ALL at the same price.

this particular 5 inch maroon clown, my friend help me buy from the LFS at RM18 which is around SGD9. Three inch fire clowns sell for RM15 bucks only.

Looks like a very shallow tank! Even your chromises look BIG! :)

The water volume seems smaller than the usual sized-tank... just watch your ammonia and nitrite levels.... for a new tank, your filtration system is barely ready to cope with such stocking levels.

2 weeks is short. Even though you used sand from the sea, the bacteria does need time to repopulate as I am sure there will be some dieoffs.

Other than that... your corals seem to be opening up... but remember, watch the water parameters closely. :)

hey AT,

it's a 4 ft long x 2ft high x 1.5 ft wide tank ler. i think u referring to my old tank pic.

i also suspect going to be time bomb but i am prepared to replace everything there cos I want to change my fishes and want to switch to FOWLR tank.

Wah ten days old and so much live stock. you better monitor your water parameters regularly. Adding so much at a time is a bad thing. Sudden change in bio load and the bacteria cannot cope might cause it to crash. Plus your tank not running sump but got so much so big fishes. Might wanna check if the amount of water in your tank can cope with it? (think the general rule of thumb is 4inch of fish per 10gallonof water)

Looks good but be careful or it might change real quick. If you have another tank maybe should lighten the load on your bacteria. :P
