I am going to get some LF from Wong Loy Kee. ANyone can advice me what must i do first to the rock before i put into my tank?

Believe that i need to dip them in tap water first? Please help to advice

i suggest you type the search word cure or curing in the box and you will get a wealth of information from our bros postings..hehe

no rule say must dip in freshwater...depends on the state of the rock you bought and if you wanna do a total kill of organisms good and bad in the rock....

if you want to keep the good stuff, dun dip in freshwater...but prepare for any bad pests in the rocks as well....

but dont need to cure that long. i normally do a quick check to see if the rock has been cleaned properly. most of the time, it is, juz need some scrubbing to remove remaining unwanted stuffs like sand, plants, etc.

from the article it says remove the inhabitnats of the LR you dun want. but how to identify those that are beneficial?

heard from someone bristle are good while some say they are bad.
