I think the kind if lights will determine the necessory hp of chiller as well...I have seen 1/8 for 3ft in one case(FL/PL) and totally inadequate in another case(using MH) (my opinion only lah)

whether is adequate is relative as the effectiveness of a chiller depends on the diff between surrounding temp and water temp and how many degrees you want to cool down to.
