distilled water is pure without any trace elements or minerals. you can use it straight for topping up.

if u looking at large quantity, it might be better to call the supplier to deliver to yr house on a regular basis. it's like those office water dispenser come in 19L (5G) bottles.

Make sure you dun buy mineral water, they contain sodium. Check the specs on the bottle, distilled water should indicate 0 mg for all the elements. You can try the brand "Life distilled water", can be purchased easily from NTUC. So far of all the brand, i find this brand the cheapest. 2 x 1.5L cost $0.95.

How about if I top up my marine tank daily by using tap water from my container for over 1 night?

Usually top up 1.5L every day.

Leaving water over night in a pail will only remove/eveporate chlorine, many of the elements like little trace amount of copper will still be present in the water. Depends on whether you are keeping a FOWLR or a reef tank, generally a FOWLR tank doesn't requires a perfect water condition, but its still better to do so. When using distilled water as top up, trace element will have to be replenish manually by ourselves to prevent deficient in them. Unless water change is done constantly/periodically.

So if I require to top-up my marine tank daily, I just need to open I bot of distilled water and pour in directly is it ?

Yup thats what I do, haha. For top up, just pour in directly, for water change, you premix in a pail, and perform water change once matured. :)
