What band of skimmer is that?Never seen it before.Piping for overflow seems not big enough.Noticed that water only flows out from the top instead of bottom in the overflow box.Wouldn't that accumulate alot of goodies in the overflow box?But still a neat setup

your pee isn't ammonia.

it is made up of urea and water. I doubt ammonia is in there. ammonia is only in trace amounts as protein aka urea is nitrogenous waste in the first place. main element of ammonia is N, combined with 4 H+ ions. I don't think it can displace H+ ions from H20.

okay this is chemistry. and I don't want to think about it until next year.
