Ok, so u going to get Live rocks to replace your artificial rocks???

dunno leh.... like LPPL......

But when I remove one of the replica, wow... damn stink.... I think its the water inside and lack of circulation....

almost puke.

Just drop by CF today - saw their LR. Wow very nice, clean and excellent shapes for scaping.

forgot to ask the price.

When leaving, saw a huge KC DAT container truck. not sure for loading or unloading.....

Eqpt: Deltec MCE 600, Tunze 6055 with Tunze 7091 controller, Artica 1/15 HP chiller, AquaIllumination Sol Blue LED Light System

I think their LR is like $16/kg... :eyebrow::whistle Super ex but can be used in your tank straight away.

I think the stink is caused by your fishes decomposing and not due to lack of circulation in the artificial rocks.

My Setup:

3x2x2 tank with IOS

Equipment List:

Chiller: Artica 1/5HP

Chiller Pump: Sicce 4000

Return Pump: OR3500

Wavemaker: Tunze Wavebox/2x Hydor K2/SCWD wavemaker

Lights: DElighting 2x150W MH + 2x 39W T5 Atinic

FR: Skimz

FR Pump: Atman AT-104

Tubby ATO, Kalkweisser Reactor with magnetic stirrer.

Bro,

if you want LRs, don't need to get from CF. Unless you really want something pest free and "rubbish"-free, otherwise I can also recommend another LFS in the east called T95.

Their rocks are in my opinion 1.5 level below CF's, given for the presence of health and life on the rocks. Pests are minimal but the rocks are deep encrusted with coralline. Price is at $6/kg. Can bargain somemore to $4 if you buy more etc :) teehee.

Happy Reefing,

Marc J.

Thanks Marco. But because CF in near my vicinity and I really dun wanna take any risk, I might take the plunge with CF. Lucky mine is a nano and I going for prob 10 kg only to scape minimally. Saw some of the shapes today. They are really nice. Need to sort out how I want to scape it then take my time to choose them.

I am thinking of a long "spinal" shape piece at the back of the wall. Probably have to glue it to the tank. Then build it outwards with maybe 3 levels or plateaus.

did a quick check on my zoas and corals today.

They are opening up more now.

The YT is also recovering from the white spots.

ORP is at 300. think it will not be moving up beyond this number. Sometimes I really wonder how effective is biohommes.

Planning to set up some frag rack later. Take the opportunity to frag up all the corals before I do the scaping.

will set up a chaeto compartment at the back of the tank too. lots of planning to do.

jireh got fiji live rocks....$10/kg...not bad...encrusted with coralline algae, but you have to remove the green algae.

Fiji live rocks is good....besides going to CF.

biohommes is to prevent yr tank from crashing...eg, after a large water change or drastic changes to your biological rhythem. Seriously, you never know wat will happen to your tank, w/o biohommes...
