Comy, I want mine to be red. not maroon colour Then just switch on your blue lights Will have shocking red shrooms. Just based on my experience, the intense red comes and goes. Also not sure why. If you find out how to make them bright red 100% of the time, I would be interested to know too. Quote My old 3ft

Sorry for the bad photo. its about 5mm tall 2) What are these white "worm-like" growth on the rocks? I used to have plenty in my sump. Would like to ID them. Can anyone help? last question: how did this pile of dirt ends up here? Its not sand. probably denitrius? How did they stack so nicely. Its like a pyramid there. noticed that its been there since last week. Could be dead coco worms. I only noticed some red colour stuff growing out of the tubes in some places. Others just dieded. Don't think it's a dead spot. Those are sand deposited by somebody from inside your rocks. obvious because you are using black sand and the sand within the rocks are normal coloured. Some worm or snail prob did it. SRC Member comycus Posted November 17, 2009 SRC Member Share Posted November 17, 2009 btw bro are you still experiencing microbubbles? I was exploring some of the Tunze systems and found this in one of the manuals I read: Adjustment of the water circulation When used as an internal skimmer, the Comline DOC skimmer can be set to a water circulation of between 5 and 70 per cent. For regulation the sliding cover (1) is pushed to the left (5 per cent) or to the right (70 per cent). Example with DOC Skimmer 9010 set to 70 per cent: The skimmer draws in 70 per cent of fresh water (about 850 l/h (224 USgal./h)) and causes a strong oxygenation, ideal for fish tanks. In particular in newly set-up biotopes, small air bubbles may be expelled at the water outlet. Example with DOC Skimmer 9010 set to 5 per cent: The skimmer draws in 5 per cent of fresh water (about 60 l/h (16 USgal./h)) and thus is gentle to plankton, making the setting ideal in particular for breeding tanks. The oxygenation is lower, but almost no air bubbles are expelled. Depending on the biotope, the water exchange can be set to between 5 and 70 per cent. In order to skim the maximum amount of waste during the run-in phase, the manufacturer recommends the maximum open circulation, however. Hope it helps!
