I was gluing some loose zoa frags while they were closed, and it turned out that I have put together the purple hornets and pseudo purple hornets together on the same frag plug! The smaller polyps on the left are from LCK, and the bigger ones on the right are the cheapo version. It actually looks quite nice together! (Pure cheapo version on the 2nd pic).

Thanks! Still need loads of practice... any simple, not so high-end tri-pods to recommend?

My frags are just super slow in growth, so I really don't know when they will reach colony sizes. Its gonna take some time... <_<

The gorillapod seems interesting... where can I get it locally? How firm is it? I wouldn't want it collapsing or bending at the wrong time...

whats a gorillapod?

Thanks! I'll check it out. :eyebrow:

There are 4 versions of the gorillapod with different weight handling specifications. You should actually get the one that is around double of the weight of your digicam/Prosumer/DSLR setup. This will ensure that the gorillapod will be stable and your camera will be safe... :eyebrow:

As for the china ones, unless you are using a digicam/prosumer, I wouldn't recommend you to get it although it is much cheaper than the gorillapod.

thanks peter.

1st time i see these ...lol so cute.

They are pretty useful and according to what I know, the legs can be gripped round a branch/railing and you can set up your camera to take a photo from there. I considered getting one previously but was not sure and convinced of the practicality of the gorillapod so didn't get it in the end.

Its hardy, active, and if you've picked the right one, it helps you manage the zoa eating nudis for you! I say its a good deal! :eyebrow:
