Wouldn't recommend it. You will be hard pressed to keep anything beyond 2ft be it LPS or soft. SPS even worse.

Unless you want to keep NPS beyond 2ft ;)

unless if corals are placed 1 ft above the sand bed :)

quite fast huh ... mind's on the vacation starting this weekend, so feeling good i guess

was actually looking at the new aqua ray 1000HD LED tile also, but even if I decide to get that, seems no way to get it here in SG for now, unless ask someone to buy in UK or US and ship here.

so just lucky to call dr evil and ask, and stocks just came :heh:

I did some trial run comapre to 250W MH,

Left side is MAX S with Blue and White on,

Right is 250W MW with 14K BLV bulb

I must say I like the color. I more blue/purple and it help to enhance color of coral.

From My naked eye it's as bright as 250W MH.

It quite well built. But need to find way to mount over my tank as in the box does not have hanging.

thinking of getting the 180W model for my 2x2x2.5ft tank.. anyone advise whether it good enough for the 2.5ft depth?

btw what the cost of the 160W and 180W model like?

2 x 1 x 1 mixed reef tank

What in my mind now (future tanks)

Decommissioned Tanks :

2 ft seahorse tank back in the 1990s'

2.5 ft cube mixed reef tank in 2007 to 2008

JBJ 28g Tank . Maxspect G1 110W + 12W DIY LED . Tunze 9002 Skimmer . Vortech MP10w ES . SPS only Tank . Picasso Clown Fish (2009 to 2011)

2 x 1 x 1 puffer-fishes, box-fishes & Frog-fish tank (2015)
