My Pico

very sad day for me, yesterday my clown died due to whitespots, today, my high-fin plechet follows...

i was taken by surprise as both of them were still feeding normally yesterday. :(

So i have to wait for 1mth for the whitespots to die off?

Sorry to hear that... been following ur thread to see if fish n reef can survive in such tiny marvellous looking pico...

looks like the fish immunity down and succumb to white spot.... if i am not wrong, white spot can become a cyst/spore stage which is hard to eradicate... in fact, many aquarium (at least for FW) has white spot parasites but healthy fish are resistant to it. Just like how stressed tangs in small tanks often kena

I hearsay slightly lower salinity can help... not sure if true or whether corals can survive.

Juz curious, how water para is like now... i worry for my damsel in my 4G.

Hey bro, that's really sad news! But I'm sure you will come back stronger. Your first IOS tank is one of the first threads I saw when I signed onto this forum, and I believe this pico is the third incarnation of your reefing hobby. Restart everything, I'm sure it will be nicer than before :)

Time to get yourself a temperature controller! ^_^ If the temp exceeds your settings, it automatically switches off your lights and switches on your backup fan to cool things down. Pays for a little extra security~

bro I doubt most pico doesn't have tat kind of luxury, sad to say...

For pico and nano it's more up to dedication and commitment to the tank...

Bro tiff when I go coral hunting u will get more beautiful corals.. I also can Frag my Zoas for u if u wan, so u won't sian lol..
