Hey all,

I just started out a 24 gallon cube bought over from one of the bros here, anyway, just set it up a few weeks ago, hoping to make its a coral tank with only one inhabitant, a cuttlefish! Have always been intrigued by them, really fascinating creatures i feel. Anyway this is the journey of my tank, will try my best to update frequently, I used to keep a 3 feet fowlr, but really tiring when it comes to maintenance, back hurts alot, hence I decided to downsize to a 24 gallon, although I know its harder to maintain the water parameters and such, but I`ll do regular water changes, 10% every 3 or 4 days. yupp. Thanks all for reading! And btw , happy new year everyone!

Hey bro, did a test on the water quality already, ammonia and nitrite showing zero, nitrate 5 ppm. the clownfish is just there to increase the bioload as i`ve done bacteria dosing, so the clownfish is to keep it going, yupp.

Just set up my resun 650 chiller! bought from one of the bros here!

CL-280 should be sufficient for your 24g tank unless you intend to upgrade your tank later lor!

Well, its because i`m on quite tight budget, so almost all of my equipments are bought off the pasar malam, and one of the bros here was selling the chiller for quite low, a deal i couldnt resist . :eyebrow:

do check your flowrate..

correct me if i'm wrong,

but i believe the CL650 needs a minimum flowrate of around 1800L/hr to be efficient..

Yupp, I heard about that too, but i got a few power head, and its currently working really well with an eheim compact 1000. The worst thing just happened to me, i was decomming my 3 feet tank ( converting it into fresh water) , when my 24 gal cube pipe just came loose and started spraying water everywhere, oh btw the lid isn`t closed properly cause of the pipe to the chiller as the hose is too big, so i had to shift the lid forward leaving the back chamber of the cube topless, the water sprayed onto my electrical plugs, and my whole house just short circuited, i spent the last 3 hours cleaning up and all. back aches! :eyeblur:

you should cut a small opening at the back of your canopy to fit the hose.. thats what i did for mine..
