how do we prevent blasto to continue melt?cause my blasto starts to melt slowly..can anyone help?

maybe tell us more what kind of system you are into. what kind of lights, temperature, skimmer etc.

and water parameter.

and placement of coral, low/middle/high.

and do u feed it?

maybe to add on, I find tt 9 out of 10 times, the blastos will slowly just melt away. Won't help even if you chop away the affected ones.

yes...i faced the same problem....sometimes one or 2 heads will melt..after that it will stop...cannot be help. i believe it has to do with water quality...they tend to do better in clear, low nutrient waters.

very very low flow, low to medium light, water nutrient not very particular. they do well in average, slightly poor to excellent conditions. are very hardy LPS. make sure you do not damage it. not even abit. once skeleton is exposed, very likely the coral will start to melt away.

have kept blastos alive for more than a year with no problem. provided you satisfy the low flow part. its very important for them. but yeah i have experienced them melting away for no reason before.

kept some over 1yr, no switch in position, no diff in water. yet they juz melt suddenly, from then on, i give up on keeping them
