Hi eprouve, my rojak tank size is 3ft x 2ft x 2.5ft . Got con by a LFS into buying this second hand tank. Ban him forever!! This tank only has a small overflow compartment on one side and i'm not running any sump tank at all. Just a RedSea Skimmer, and extra surface skimmer link to a small 2213 eheim filter. Got to blame myself for not doing more research. Now with this forum 1 learn a lot of things from here. But surprisingly all my corals are doing well and 80% of them are already 2 years old. (from my previous tank)

Wahh... very nice. Hope to achieve something like that. Mine only 3 months old. Did u plan first what to buy and where to put them when u place the LR. What about coral aggressiveness? Most of the corals seem to be nearly touching.

BTW is the octopus coral also called frogspawn?

Frogspawn coral, hammer coral, octopus coral... all are from the same family Genus Euphyllia. They are good water-quality monitors. Failure to show good polyp expansion can indacate less-than-perfect water parameters.

BTW, with no sump tank and 3 power head running inside my tank, I am running a chiller. And i'm using a 20k MH lights.

whats your nitrate levels? I am also using a canister and was told that they are nitrate factories. U have any problems with controlling nitrates?
