Resun CL 280 chiller for sale, bought couple of mth ago....gonna upgarde therefore sellin :P . Sellin for $250neg. Can support up to 3ft but brother ah xiao said got reefer here usin it on 5ft tank :angel:

The Cl280 is a1/10 HP one rated max 300lt by factory. It is suitable for a 2ft tank. Will have a bit of problem cooling 3ft. Definitely not a 5ft tank. Will be running round the clock causing high elect bills, short lifespan and will not cool down the tank enought.

DA, Must be the 2 MH lights you are using. too hot liaoz!! ke ke.....

Any way even if can cool a 3ft by a couple of deg, also need to work OT(overtime but no overtime pay) will wear out and waste power also.

jd_n, not trying to spoil your sale. Just trying to get the facts straight. But It will be good for a 2ft tank (not 2ft cube) or ok for a small 3ft (like 3x1.5x1.5) but not those 3x2x2 or 3x2x1.5(DA your one rite) with sump.

Anyway price not bad, neg somemore and very new. Good luck on your sale. upz!! :lol::lol:

Ha ha... ya I am sure. For your precious SPS rite, so when upgrading to 1/2hp?? ke ke ke.... :P

One of these days must go and have a look at your tank. Have seen Jewel one twice liaoz but havnt seen yours yet. :(

i'm using CL280 on my tank.. 4 feet... 2x150w MH plus 1x55Wpl plus 2x36wpl and one fl forget how much.. my temp is 26 constant.. and also mine is a 4 feet with sump

How can the temperature be 26constant unless the chiller running non stop? There must be a 0.5 to 1deg variation for the chiller to kick in? Unless it is over worked that it is running all the time then you might have a constant temp. B)

My runs for bout 20+min then stop for 2hrs. I am using a 1/4 HP and I think it is not enough liaoz. hope to bring down the cooling time. wonder if pump make a diff??

DA, what pump you using for your 1/4hp chiller?? I plug it through the 1260 of my return. Wonder if the pump makes a different in cooling time. Heard some people say their chiller only cool for like 10min+
