intend to use it as an external temp controller, hence, the connection goes like this:

(1) for further ease of use, will buy a regular wall-plug so as to allow a regular 3-pin plug (from the chiller) to be connected to this controller straightaway

(2) notice there are 12 'holes' at the back of the controller, and as stated on the manual, (1) and (2) is for the sensor

(3) (3) 'LIVE' to the OUTPUT (which is my wall-plug now)

(4) (4) 'LIVE' from my main power, which is connected in parallel to (12) too

(5) (11) is is 'NEUTRAL' which is drawn from the main power, which is also connected to the wall-plug.

okie, did i get these right? pls advise.

it works +1

If a man could beat his own fantasy. Then to only breed in captivity. Then its pointless.

Genesis 1:20

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

For those using MH lightings, use this to automatically swithc off your MH lights when the temperature reaches unsafe limit. It would be a cheap DIY but will save you the hardship when your chiller breakdown while your MH lights are switch on...

In regards to the wiring schematics in post #2..

hope someone can offer me some assistance in some wiring.

Chiller model Resun CL450.

this is the wire for the power to the Chiller's original controller.

post-17012-12759811570199_thumb.jpg

One blue, Two red, One black wire.

I need to totally overwrite the original controller as the button is jammed on the set temperature mode, putting the chiller in standby mode i think.

how should i go about wiring this to a external controller with the given schematics in post#2

thanks in advanced, sorry for being a wire idiot.

Brown SPS > Kinder Surprise

White SPS = Kinder Surprise after expiry date

Assumption killed the dinosaurs, they didnt have test kits.

Hi bro....

That is the power wire for the chiller.....

You may need to double confirm on the connection....

Hi bro...

Yes it can....

thanks.you have an actual picture with the housing? so i will need a housing to hold the thermostat and a 3pin socket outlet(for connecting chiller) attached to the housing of some sort right.....and the chiller will remain off until thermostat activate it ...?

Hi bro...

Yes...

With housing will make the complete DIY looks nicer.....

If you don't mind the appearance, you can just tape it to ensure no exposure to the AC which could result in serious injuries....

Do take note on this....

i see some required relay??

Hi bro....

The relay would depend what will be the overall power...cause there is a limitation on the internal relay....
