My 2 feet cube tank.

My tank cabinet in the process of cyclying, details as below:

Main tank

1)Dimension- 24”x 24” x 24” cube tank used for the purpose of 3 side display (front, left & right

2)Using 10mm glass all rounded + black silicon for the tank

3)28mm hole drilled for the overflow to sump.

Sump tank

1)Using 18”x18”x18” cube tank as sump.

2)6mm glass all rounded.

3)5 compartment for

a)water down flow compartment with bioball.

b)Macro ASF-001 with build in pump (2’ hight!!)

c)refugium with macro algae + 4” DSB +2kg LR

d)5~7kg of LR

e)2600 L/hr return pump

Lighting

1)main tank equip with 2 x Elbiru 6500K 36W PL + 2 x 8000K 36W Elbiru PL + 1 x 36W Elbiru Actinic, turn on for 9 hrs from 4pm ~1am

2)sump tank equip with 1 x 36W Osram 6000K PL turn on for 24/7.

Water circulation

1)water return from sump + 1 unit of Elden 288 auto rotating powerhead.

Live stock

1)Fox coral x 2

2)Bubble coral x 1

3)Octopus coral x 1

4)Hammer coral x 1

5)Polyps coral x 2 types

6)Mushroom coral x 2 types

7)Alveopora coral x 1

8)Gonopora coral x 2

9)Short tentacles Plate coral x 1

10)Long tentacles Leather Coral x 1

11)Stag horns Coral x 3 frag

12)Purple Corcea clam x 1

13)Gold head Goby x 1

14) Bi- colour Benny x 1

15) Turbo snail- x 6

Filtration

1)LR- +- 50 KG total, all cured

2)DSB- Using 70kg of grade 0 coral sand and another 10kg of grade 1 coral sand on the top layer to create 6”(front) ~ 7” (back) of DSB in the main tank and another 4” in my refugium.

Water Parameter

1)Ammonia & Nitrite & Nitrate - undetectable

2)Temp- 25.9 deg Cel ~ 26.8 deg Cel

3)PH- 8.0 (light off) ~ 8.2 (Light on)

4)KH- 9 (light off) ~ 11 (Light on)

5)Cal, Stontium, Phosphate, Iodide- not tested

Tank age- 5 weeks.

the skimate, a bit dilluted caused i add another airpump to the air inlet to increase the skime rate.... in the first few days, the skimmer skime out mud look alike stuff.... ard 150ml of very thick + black + disgusting stuff were skimmed.... then the skimmer stop skimming for 4~5 days until i add the air pump and skime out another 500+ml chinese tea look alike skimate... to as thick as the first time...

Start No Water Change since 1st Dec 2016

Add new 2.5x2x 1.5 ft

bro ervine, remember i ever mentioned to you that i wanna setup a 4x2x2 tank.... hv to give up the idea caused my little pricess coming soon in Jan...

bro sherman, dun hv any DC with me now, hv to wait till tomorrow where i'll bring bk the DC from my company... will post up more pic of my sump.

bro freewill, the cabinet, hood and sump was maid by gerald aka tank maker. i design the general layout where he improvised my design and customise it for my, cost for the sump + cabinet + hood ard $350 (can't really remember but is ard there), not include all the switches, socket, wiring lighting.... the total setting up is less than 1K....

bro ervine- the tank is not included lah... or else Gerald have to sell his house to keep his business going.... :D:D the price inclusive the sump + cabinet + hood only, the rest of the things is from other source....

KapoKidd- yes, you need a pump to rund it where the bubble will be created by air going in thru the air inlet.... the air bubble then "chop" to smaller bubbles...

jOO- i wanted to use MH but after trying a 25oW MH set from my company.... my tank tem increase by 3 deg cel! not a problem during the year end but in month of April ~ July.... all my coral will cooked...
