SRC Member Ketchup Posted February 23, 2011 SRC Member Share Posted February 23, 2011 ahh, congrats!! Open house will be nice if we happen to go back and take some letters, maybe will PM u to see if you around. As for the glass, i know which one... you may want to install small exhaust if need to extract more hot air out.. Good also, can dry clothes faster! jetski250
Welcome welcome. Just realised my phosphate reactor was not working. Suspect been like that for a few weeks already. A sponge inside calcified and blocked water flow. That could be one reason for the algae. Fixed liao so let's see. BTW, think PDT is eating my hair algae. Cleared up a lot overnight and he's still going at it. jetski250
Beautiful, love the sps and it has plenty of room to grow.. can add a couple of fishes too if you wish Yes plan to add some more fishes: Bartlett school - Their pink/yellow compliments the peachy dispar and read that these 2 types coexist in the wild together. Mitratus Butterfly Pair Potter's or Coral Beauty - if can find a strong one to hold its own against Flame Emperor Angel - once my still a bit shy majestic fully settles down Mystery Wrasse - Might need one more wrasse to control SPS pest Red Hawkfish 4 more Fire shrimp - 4 in tank now and spawned recently. Fishes enjoyed the buffet so let's have more! jetski250
Thanks mrnano, wilson and desi. A few more pics for you. Radioactive 'something' frag Purple Valida frag Radioactive Pocci frag Not sure name. 6 inches wide colony that's growing. "Merged" with its neighbour that's similar but of table structure. Surprised to discover it came with a baby fish! Around 3 months already and the fish still hiding inside and growing in size. Looks like goby or hawkfish and stays inside all the time. True Octo with transparent tentacles. One purple tentacle and the rest all green And a more colour-correct FTS. Right side of tank can use a few more tabling SPS and 5 more colonies in mid-section Quote 300G Main Display - 7 x 3 x 3, 60G Sump 4 x Tunze 6105 + 7095 controller, 2 x Eden 5000 l/hr main return 1HP Reefcool Compressor 4 x Reeflux 250W 12K MH with dimmable ballast + ATI T5 blue actinic Super Reef Octopus 5000 skimmer, Skimz PO4 Reactor, 36W UV sterilizer Bubble Magus 7 Channel Dosing Pump
cedricang
Impressive SPS husbandry bro, to note that the WS colonies and the frags color has maintain till now shows that you have a good water quality Let's see how it goes from here as you will be entering a constant battle with feeding your fish (now that you are considering adding more) versus low nutrient water quality Btw it's Radioactive Birdnest frag i think Quote Treat others the way you wanna be treated...
