jetski250
Impressive SPS husbandry bro, to note that the WS colonies and the frags color has maintain till now shows that you have a good water quality Let's see how it goes from here as you will be entering a constant battle with feeding your fish (now that you are considering adding more) versus low nutrient water quality Btw it's Radioactive Birdnest frag i think Thanks Cedric. Am putting to pratice the importance of weekly water change you mentioned. Have setup permanent hose/pumps for salt mixing, drainage and pumping-in of new water. It's becoming less of a chore which increases likelihood of me doing it on a regular consistent basis. Going to add fishes slowly and regulate feeding + water change according. Eniram
Bro I think the fish in your sps colony is a gum drop goby. Considered a pest, so if you can take it out. Also I noticed you used epoxy to stick your frags, you must be very patient to let it set. May I suggest using bsi gel or coral glue? Sets and encrust faster. SRC Member Ketchup Posted November 15, 2011 SRC Member Share Posted November 15, 2011 Thanks Bro for the advice. You are right that epoxy can be very tricky at times. Keen to try alternatives. Where to get the bsi gel or coral glue? BSI is very good.. can get from Iwarna, madpetz.. I got mine from madpetz which came with the fragging tools. Just apply, dipped in water and rubbed it a little against the rock and it holds in seconds.. and last a long time, no need much at all. mengyang_neo
Hi bro, your tank look super clean and the colouration of the SPS is For glue, I think for big tank like your, votech coral glue from iwarna or madpetz will be more suitable and cheaper in the long run. The glue work actually like bsi gel but as it is in a plastic container, it do not break easily and dry up. 1 problem I find with bsi gel is after use a few time, due to squeeze and twisting motion, it tend to break and leak from the back and after that dry up. jetski250
Heehee. Added an adult emperor angel to tank yesterday. Eating pellet immediately and not shy at all. Swimming around the tank in a relaxed confident manner. Current residents still need to get used to it though. Yellow tang and majestic keep flaring. Think my tank can use some more big angels. Else look empty. Going to add some Bartletts this week too. jetski250
Haha. Think i am already well down the path of angel/sps which I am liking. Besides being gorgeous, they are also highly intelligent and behave like pets. I.e. swim towards you and look straight at you. Almost like a dog wagging its tail. Iwarna sending 5 Bartlett to my place this evening.
