Please help to ID this fish

can anyone help to ID this fish. I think it belongs to surgeon fish family but need to have a confirmation. thanks

yep definitely the surgeon family. Can see the scalpel. R those white spots i see... hmmm another confirmation sign.

But dont know which tang it is tho seldom see tang with so pale color. Is it new in tank ?

Juvenile surgeons often have a different colouration from adult so it's harder to differentiate.

I just got this few days ago and I kept it in my QT. The LFS where I got it don't know its name either. Judging from its shape and from its color (althought it might change) it could be Mimic Eibli Tang or Tomini Bristletooth Tang. The lower portion of its fin although not obvious in the pic has a light blue trimming while the upper has a light orange trimming.

From the pix... look more like Tomini Bristletooth Tang... can see the white tail and the yellow highlights on the fins...
