in the main tank.

If put in the sump, the temperature will only be true in the sump and not the main tank.

When put the probe in the main tank, the chiller will continue to cool until the set temp is achieved in the main tank.

thanks for info... :ThanxSmiley:

Hi bro James72.

I have just started a new tank which most of the things are DIY except the tank.

In this setup, I'm using drop-in coil instead of chiller.

Titanium coil + air con spare parts ( copper pipe, etc )

--> You can get from Teck Hoe at Jalan Geylang ( one of the cheapest i can find )

For the controller

--> From Sim Lim Tower ( basement shop )

For the air con installation

--> I do my own piping and trunking, plus topping up my own refrigerant gas.

Tank : 3 x 2 x 1.8 ( setup end Feb 2014 ) --> 4 x 2 x 1.8 ( setup early Nov 2016 )
Skimmer : Bubble Magus NAC6 --> Bubble Magus Curve 7
Return pump : Jebao 10000l/h ( down in 17th December 2014 ) --> Jebao DC-12000 ( 19th December 2014 )
Compressor drop-in coil
Wavemaker : Tunze 6105 x 1
Lights : Modular based DIY LED light x 4

Chaeto in the sump

Just to add, the titanium drop-in coil ( i got it from Taobao ) which about 1/2 price cheaper comparing with getting in Singapore.

This is also one of the reefer whom has purchased recommend to me.
