New additions, plus I shouldn't neglect my fishes

Realised my new picasso pair don't seem united, instead the smaller of my black ocellaris checks out one of the new picasso often, I suspect that new picasso is a male, and the other 3 are females.

Heres the female picasso(i suspect its female anyway ), always dipping my long time red goniopora with purple center I bought from GO long ago

Took some water parameter tests:

KH - 6.4

Calcium - 420

Need to readjust balling supplement concentrations and dosage...

Also noticed some sps with algae tips, can't remember if they were there in the first place, I guess not. Haven't snipped the tips off yet, monitoring the condition.

Lastly, am testing out Pohl's Xtra & Coral Vitalizer, dosing less than the actual required dosage, but will update on coral coloration progress a week later

Taken last Friday, 12 of August, 2 colonies of digitata for comparison, before Pohl's Xtra & Coral Vitalizer. Pictures taken without editing on Canon 500D, with 6 ati blue plus, 3 ati white and 1 ati purple plus 54W 4 feet T5 tubes (total 10 tubes).

Noticed my forest fire digitata not opening as usual. Upon closer inspection, noticed many little black specks on the coral itself. Had the coral extracted and dipped in ReVive Coral Cleaner for 15 minutes, and noticed the tiny black specks falling off and swimming around vigorously. Coral is then rinsed and placed back in the tank. Heres some pictures of the problematic coral.

Isopod attack! on my little percula clownfish today, poor fella got a fat lump inside his gill area with an ispod tail sticking out, and it look like it had difficulty breathing and swimming. Had to catch the fish out and yank the isopod off with a pair of plastic forceps. About a centimetre long.

good you caught it, hope there aren't any more. i saw in national geographic (i think) last weekend, a certain isopod (on a snapper) which sucks the blood of the hosts' tongue, and once the tongue 'dies', the isopod actually becomes the hosts' tongue ...

yeah man! took 10 minutes to get it out, then i moved the percula with its mate to the refugium to recover together

Thanks desi! You can drop by to look at the tank itself if you like, I stay at Kovan. Radioactive BN is like a must-get for any reef tank, it adds so much color yet its one of the less demanding sps species and grows fast as well!

I saw that before too! I was researching on isopod then this pic came up.

Almost 3 weeks have passed since I use Pohl's Xtra and Coral Vitalizer, heres the digi colony, i think color is more intense, abit of growth as well, but might not be 100% attributed to the 2 products...but so far so good
