  1. Hey guy, im getting a pair of clownfish soon and i hope that they will host on a coral.. but not on an anemone since my tank is stil new.. Im looking at corals like elegance tip, bubble coral and hammer corals.. which one is easy to keep in my 1ft cube tank and clownfish will more likely host on it? Thanks.
  2. Anyway heres the link to the lights.. if its not allowed, mod pls remove it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/E27-21W-4RED-3BLUE-High-Power-LED-Grow-Light-Lamp-For-Flowering-Plant-Hydro-Veg-/121070212848?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c3058d6f0 adapters to UK plug and E27 extensions can be bought from ebay as well.. for my set, everything bought from ebay.. i also bought a 1 to 2 E27 adapter.. might be thinking of buying a 4watt multi-color + dimmable LED light to play around with the colors..
  3. Thanks bro! they are my favorite as of now! there were 5 baby polyp that grew near the bottom and i cut them off.. hopefully can grow to be just as nice!
  4. im so sorry! i misinterpreted your question.. i see the word filtration and immediately thought you were asking what we are placing in our filters..
  5. i've been a fan of seachem purigen since i started using it last year in my fresh water set up. in my new 34L tank, i started using it when my tank's cycled is done.. at that time my no3 was 40ppm. which is really high.. probably due to the cubes of mysis shrimps i threw in weeks ago.. so i added in seachem purigen (half bottle of the 250g bottle) and within 1 week, no3 drop to 20ppm.. and again, 1 week later, i did a 20% WC and one day after the WC, i measured my no3 to be 0 - 5ppm.. cant really determined either because the API color chart shows 5ppm when u put the glass tube against the white back ground but 0ppm when u hold it up right.. i also keep biohome plus in my hang on filter.. together with rowaphos.

Another zoa with green and red color the heart of my tank.. just added a surface skimmer to the filter but its churning out quite alot micro bubble... placed some black sponge at the outlet but ts not working. all the media and the skimmer mentioned above are all stuffed here. 7. where to buy frozen cyclopeeze?
  8. Can ah? Issit allowed? Don't blame me if product no good hor.. All I can say is so far their service is superb.
  9. 2ft cube chiller is highly recommended.. if not if you use fans, the evaporation rate is pretty high..
  10. Looking to stock up my tank.. looking for frags of Eagle eye zoas and sunflower zoas.. SMS me at 9106-3934 and let me know the size of the frag you are selling as well as the price. Thanks!
  11. Just purchase a set with the following specs : 5 blue (460nm) 2 white (10000k) BridgeLux 3 watt LED 90 Degree lenses. Also bought some E27 adapter and extensions.. cant wait for them to arrive! will update here
  12. As above, i have a red-legged scarlet hermit crab around 1 inch body size to trade with 2 - 3 Fenestrate Algae snail. snail must be small and suitable for my 1ft cube tank.. other snails that are effective in eating green and brown algae also can.. Heres a pic of the hermit : Prefer to deal north side. SMS me at 9106-3934.
  13. Thanks alot for ur advice! I'll go for 90 degree lens most probably.
  14. Depending on what u want to keep. Zoas and other easy corals can do well with just a fan
  15. Seller just replied me mentioning that : " it is around 220~240lm per watt, so the total lumen is about 4200-4500lm ." Is this too high to be true? will it be too bright for my corals? Seller mentioned that it does have a cooling fan inside. how hot its gonna be, i'll have to try it before i know.. What angle lens should i go for? they have 60/90 and 120. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Anyway guys, for corals like Zoas, Yumas and other easy softies. to bring out their color more, should i go for 4 blue 3 white or 5 blue 2 white? Does corals need more blue or more white lights?
  16. yeah im planning to order soon.. still thinking if i should upgrade to CREE or stick to bridgelux.. even the seller recommend me BridgeLux instead.. How much are those light tester?
  17. Indeed there's a lot. However this seller mentioned this is for plant growth or coral reef aquarium.. They seems to have Cree led upgrade too
  18. Interesting! Will be looking forward for ur fts!
  19. Hey guys, Im currently have a 1ft cube (with 36cm height) tank and i am using a 6x3w Beamswork (4 white 2 blue) LED however, i find that my tank's lighting is too white and its not bringing out the color of my zoas and rics.. if i switch to only blue light, the corals looks really nice.. therefore i would like to get a blue-er light set.. I've seen how good par38 are but their price turned me off.. So i went ebay to do a search and i found this interesting LED that uses the same fitting and design as the par38. with its E27 fitting, i can buy a housing with a plug. Heres some photo taken from the sale page.. Seller claim to use BridgeLux 3W High power LED and offer 60/90/120 degree lenses. The above picture shows a 7x3W red + blue combi meant for plants.. im thinking of getting a 4 blue (20k) + 3 white (10k) combo.. Any advice? has anyone tried to purchase such light set from ebay before? the total cost estimated (with purchase of E27 holder) is still less than half the price of a Par38 light bulb.
  20. fan can chill your tank down by 2 - 3C, recently the air is pretty cooling and my tank's at 26C (34L tank) with fan chilled.. usually will be 27C or at most 28C (seldom). down side will have to top up water.. i top up 500ml twice a day (morning and night).
