  1. another tip. think wat an indian likes.
  2. there's the driving range @ seleta (spelling?) reservoir called the executive driving range or something like that. OCC is ex. there's oso a seleta driving range where they don't use mats. instead, there's grass. v much like the grass you'd find one the "rough" of a course. something diff loh. SAFRA (changi) is ok except v. crowded during the hot hours (1830 - late).
  3. i'm a part-time tuition teacher and here's wat i think. i dunno what does my agency tells my clients about my qualifications. but i gauge myself accordingly. personally, i'd make my agency tell me all abt the client (express or normal etc.) and i'd only take on the job if i'm confident of teaching the kid. no point i earn a few hundred more a month but not only waste the kid's time, i cld even ruin his/her future. even when i recommend my frens for certain jobs, i assess my frens (personal frens, thus i noe what is their edu bkgrd like) and make sure they're confident of takin' up the kid. yes it's true that many agencies make up a false portfolio for their teachers just to earn that quick buck but do not lose faith in 'em. i've been givin' tuition for many years and sometimes, when i realise that the kid needs more than a teacher, i'd approach the parent or even email the sch teacher to consult 'em. there are, (unfortunately not many though) young tuition teachers who follow a personal code of ethics. let me take this opportunity to tell fellow reefer parents out there that it's always possible to test and fire the teacher if he or she does not meet up to your standard or you realise that the teacher is fundamentally making tuition an extra source of income with no intention of helpin' your kid. most imptly, do not let the agency fool you. sometimes as tuition teachers, we can fooled by the agency too. with that, i hope you can find a ideal and responsible tuition teacher. p/s: tiao(4) hao(4) is but on a,e,i,o,u. with special expections in o & u cases.
  4. take care dude... next year tis time it'll b my turn. will need tips from you~~~ erm. work hard too...
  5. i used to haf sleepin' prob. doc refused to gimme sleepin' pills. in the end, i resorted to tiring my eyes either via playin' games on my PC or GBA. and eventually (cld b either 2 or 3 am) fall asleep. for me it's stress that's caused the isomia. you'd haf to find out the cause. it need not be a 'normal' stress (like homework or exam), it can be anything.
  6. mine crashed while i was in BMT. stupid sea cucumber decided to explore my PH and got sucked in. according to the on-site witness (aka my mom), the water turned black and soon after that, everything else died. i didn't noe wat to do aft hearin' the news that night. totally shocked. now i'm just waitin' for the right opportunity to start another tank.
  7. there's a jap rest @ the edge of club st called Ikukan. specialises in grilled stuff (eg, steak, chicken and fish). and ambience is formal enuff to talk abt biz and yet cosy enuff to chill. price wise, abt 50-60 per pax. nothin' fancyful. so i guess wld be quite appropriate.
  8. Help... I'm currenly doing some freelance project and my client doesn't want to pay for images. Any websites for royalty free images (e.g. stock.xchng)? If this helps, I'm looking for "Zen" themed images with human interest in 'em. Thanks...
  9. take note that Macs DO crash. juz v. v. seldom. generally, Macs "speak" in a different language from PC thus the old myth that they do not "talk" to each other (ie compatibility problems). also, it is this unique language that Mac uses that makes it a more stable platform; not to mention there's practically no virus for macs.
  10. perhaps his daddy was usin' a controller and his steerin' wheel wasn't even plugged in?!
  11. GT Master sia... i've tried the official GT steering wheel wif GT4 and it's damn difficult!

  15. the last time I heard... R32 was goin' for <100K... Skyline not too wise coz the large engine cap = more fuel comsumption. Plus, I don't think you need THAT much power right? As for the Accord, IMHO dun need to go for euro-R lah, 200bhp is too much. Get the JDM Accord. Looks EXACTLY like the euro-R. Or... You cld wait for the new Mit Galant to arrive. (The VR4 was quite a hit. A very strong competitor against euro-R I fink) Prob arrive in Q2 or Q3.
  16. why can't we learn from happened in Pearl Harbor? is it everytime must kenna jia-lat jia-lat then will learn?
  17. "Tsunami death toll surges past 68,000 amid epidemic fears" - Headline on CNA webby. Allow me to sidetrack a bit. it's rather interesting to see that for once CNN is not as updated as the asian couterparts like CNA (fyi, CNN currently reports the deathtoll at 56,029). Perhaps amidst the chaos, this is an opportunity for CNA and other regional broadcasters to prove their timeliness and accuracy in reporting.
  18. the ig's heaven @ citylink is oso sellin' too... if i'm not wrong, the corner store @ hereen's 4th story is action city (famous for collector toys)
  19. Hi pple... thanks for looking. I have a Nikon Coolpix 3100 for sale (2 sets of batteries, the original charger and a 16MB memory card included). IMOH, the Coolpix 3100 is most suitable for simple "point and shoot" pictures, nothing fancyful. Plus, at the price I'm uping it for, I'm think it should be very comfortable with the younger reefers here. Bottomline, the above mentioned set at $250. Feel free to PM me for enquiries. Once again, thanks for looking. (p/s: the camera is in perfect condition)
  20. if I may add... I POP-ed w/o passing my SOC (passed my IPPT though). Perhaps the most impt thing is to fail your FFI (fit for instruction) test (it's conducted near the end of your bmt). Only den the probability of u going to a non-combat unit raises...
