  1. I'm using 2 dymax vortex fans and an osmolator to top up water automatically. It's working great cos it reduces large swing in water parameters caused by high evaporation.
  2. I kept a fiji pulsating xenia successfully in my 2ft.
  3. Rotifers and Oyster feast are best for corals with small mouths, esp favia/favites, flower polyps, zoas etc. For super suns, cynarina, lobos etc with sweeping tantacles, may I suggest mysis shrimps and brine shrimps. Interestingly GO feeds their corals with fish eggs from supermarkets. It is highly effective (look at their corals!) but increases nitrate in water tremendously as our tank is not as big as theirs.
  4. don't have the measurements with me now but it seems more like 2ft x 1.2ft x 1.5ft to me
  5. It's a 2 feet tank with No Sump.
  6. Iwarna has some Super Sun. Picked one up on Friday for 2 blue notes.
  7. just bought a super sun coral from iwarna. 2 blue notes...but seeing how healthy it is, I think it's worth it.
  8. Bought from them before. Good quality. Just that they require daily feeding. Mine no longer that 'super' cos of that.
  9. THanks Bro. It's impt to know what livestocks works for your tank, and what doesn't, esp corals. Even with normal corals for a tank like mine, you can still make it look good. But there's always a danger in such nano tanks. Deterioration of water quality can quickly affect the livestocks in there due to its small size. This is the challenge that every nano tank owners will face.
  10. I see. I like my tank to be paranomic. Can custom made ones do that? Normally they jus glue the pieces together.
  11. Bro where did you at this 3feet tank? I've been looking for one of such dimension.
  12. THanks bro. The colors IMO has too strong contrast due to the LED lights. It looks more natural when looking at the real thing.
  13. Wow. Very detailed documentation on your reefing journey. Love the aussie scolys. Hope they recover soon!
  14. Nothing special about the photography. It is using iPhone 5. The colors are caused by the LED lights. It brings out the vibrancy of the corals.
  15. Thank you. Many of my corals are not expensive. Normal prices. Most expensive piece is probably $80? And that's the pulsating Fiji Xenia. The orange Yuma is $20+ I think. The rics floridas are about $30 per polyp. My shrimps do not disturb my corals. it's impt to know the compatibility. Do not get camel shrimps.
  16. Does anyone has experience on keeping emperor shrimps? Bought one for $5.
  17. I've done up my ricordea florida garden. Now it looks even better.
  18. Thank you bro. I do not keep seahorses anymore as they are slow eaters. Will never be able to compete with the faster fishes. I feed pallets and frozen Mysis to my fishes and shrimps. The shrimps eat whatever that's left on the ground.
  19. The days have been quite hot. My tank temp during daytime is also 28.x.
  20. THanks bro. It's simple cos there's no sump. Clean cos i use distilled water to prevent algae growth (low phosphate). But need daily water top up caused by evaporation.
