    I have a starfish which I got from a fellow reefer with only 4 arms and a small stump where the fifth leg used to be. Now more than 2 years later, it has not only survive but also manage to regenerate a new fully functional arm. Cheers

    Why dun u also try getting a small abalone? Henry of ML brings them in regularly. I have one in my 4' tank and it does a good job, only coming out at nite to graze on the algae on the rocks as well as on the glass. I don't think they feed on cyano though.

    The bubble u have there is a pearl bubble. This type normally does not expand very large unlike those cat-eye bubbles. It should be fine as long as they dun shrivel up and expose their skeleton.

    Most angels are not reef-safe so my advise is not to risk it esp. if you are keeping nice corals.

    I'm using 36W PL lighting which only comes on at night. Works fine for me, macroalgae growing well. IMO, I don't think you really need such powerful lighting like T5 or MH for your fuge.

    Spoke to the old uncle manning the shop last Sat. He told me that the shop open every day from 10am to 10pm. Not much corals though - acans (some nice ones), red open brains, green pratas, some hammer and some octo.
