if u want yer tank to looks nicer, change the sandbed to #1 sand, its finer and looks more natural... u can get it for less then $10 at petmart...

im assuming that yer tank is relatively new, 30 fishes in a tank is alot of fishes, might be the cause of stress causing itch... the white 'flies' u see are harmless

my suggestions, u could probably change yer sand as it looks too fine and yellow, probably get a #1 sand that cost $10 for 10kg (but in singapore) change yer light to 10k to make the tank look more white aquascape, look at other pples tanks or coral reefs and copy ideas.. shd try to use big rocks as the base and smaller rocks at the top. lightly stack them to give it the natural look. have lots of caves so yer fishes can swim thru hth

is there a circulation pump in yer tank ? remembered reading that lack of surface agitation could cause low gas exchnge resulting in dead fishes...
