I think the fish you had bought is a specie of the mimic tang.

5 by 2.5 by 1 acrylic tank = burn big fat hole in pocket. however, acrylic tanks are aesthetically much nicer. just that it is like baby skin, smooth but VERY delicate.

Firstly, moscowites would like to thank all of the members of SGRC notably Gouldian, Solo77, cedricang and spkentchai for all of the sound advice and guidance in setting up my 5 by 2 by 2 footer. moscowites, alongside pitto and twiddledoo, started out with a pico. Needless to say, once you start, you can't stop. It grew from the pico into a 2 footer and now, destination. Teaser: Will update more in time to come.

Hi all. Cycling my tank now since 4pm yesterday. NSW from Iwarna and live rocks from previous owner. Dosed Microbe Lift Special Blend last night. Water looks cloudy and smells weird. What should I do? Should I turn skimmer on?

Hi all. No pics but I'm sure you'd be able to visualize the fish. Yellow Tang (about 4 inches) - $15 Blue Regal Tang (4-5 inches) - $15 Brown Tang (about 3-4 inches) - $5 Thompson Surgeonfish (6-7 inches) - $20 Longnose Hawkfish (3 inches) - $5 Purple Fire Goby (2 inches) - $5 There are other fishes and crustaceans but I'm not sure what. Will give if a buyer takes all. All fishes have been in the tank for awhile and feeding on pellets. There will also be some LPS corals like Bubble corals, True Octopus corals, Red Mushroom corals and a Elephant Ear coral. There may be some other LPS corals as well. These will also be on sale if buyer shows interest. Collection will only be at a certain timing from 10.30am - 1.30pm at Sembawang on Saturday, 22 September 2012.
