My elegance coral doea very well on the sand bed. See my pics in my other post. Like yoi said, they don't eat mysis. Mine only eats market prawns cut into 1cm cube size. Method to feed is wiggle the prawn into the tentacles. The tentacles will then grab the prawn and slowly bring it into its mouth. I usually feed twice a week.

Stretch abit more and get a hydra 26HD. At least can reuse when you upgrade your tank.

If you want to be successful in keeping corals, better to use chiller than fan. The cost of other aspects of reefkeeping outweigh the increase in energy cost. I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Try not to let the rocks touch the glass. Best is the allow enough space between rock and glass so facilitate flow and cleaning .

2x52 for a 3ft tank? Are you running on full power? If not full power, why not 2 x 26 instead?

I am currently setting up a 2 feet tank and am undecided as to which Hydra lighting I should use. Hydra 26 or Hydra 52? I may scale up to a 3-4 feet tank later. Would it be better to get one Hydra 52 from the start or later just add an extra Hydra 26?

Where is this LFS? What's the name?
