  2. Yea, finding kakis to play would most definitely make it more fun and economical! But this is not always the case ;( Still trying to get the monster truck nitro up soon ;p then it'll be.. a bang!
  3. Found a toolbox to house the spare parts already, but i don't have the luxury of a pre-assembled rear wheel or something ;p As for ur fuel, how much did you bring along? Anyway yea, they're a friendly lot, somehow everyone is kinda friendly maybe cause the community's really small ;p How abt the others? tot someone was also asking abt this rc car thingy?
  4. Lol, so u'd not been playing for long uh? ;p u also on nitro still? 1/10 still? or 1/8? hv a nitro monster truck also ;p so yup, trying to up the engine.. yea, good to have spare parts available but where got so many place to hold these parts? not driving.. damn jialut right? well, lost the dog bone before.. piang, keep turning in circles when i turn one direction but it's fun finding out the cause of the problem and fixing up.. lol yep! shell is MOST impt! wait, this whole forum only roidan, u and me into this so far only? the rest?
  5. Urm, nope, bought as a lone wolf, altho' I'm playing with the strangers at the track (usually go marina south one)... and yea, i try to give way to EVERYONE (yea.. i think i'm that slow ;p haaa) and will try to tail them.. follow their lines and stuff exactly how i feel abt the engine! besides, i'm too slow witted to handle the current speed leow ;p haaaa i'd broke the manifold, the rear wheel axle.. the fuel tank... haaa.. diasterous but it's fun... haa yhea, using rechargable when i'd changed my radio system also ;p haa boh pian.. aa drains too quickly for my liking ;( u still playing now?
  6. Hi BFG, Gotten the kyosho fw-05T rtr model. ~S$500. juz needa to get 12 x AA batt (for transmitter and receiver), and glow starter. The nitro is complementary from shop, one gallon.... seems like htere's a cheaper GP one, 390 or so.. hmm oh well
  7. Hmm, in what sense is RC car money draining... if you don't... 1) keep upgrading 2) keep buying new cars ;pp 3) keep breaking parts 4) keep seeing other pple's cars haa I gotten myself a 1/10 nitro touring (RTR -- ready to run) recently... pretty fun! Only problem was I broke some parts that needed me to dismantle most of the car ;p but that was good and fun (except when paying $$$ lah)! Lately saw this drifting thingy using rc -- nice! those guys at SGDrifters are amazing! Roidan, where in fort road is the car park u talking abt ah? is that the vehicle park by ECP? or? hmmmmmm
  8. Eh, where are the LFS in HK to go see if we're there ah?
  9. Eh? how much do they cost uh? buy one crate onee or bottle? buy from where ah?
  10. F22 raptors in operation yet? Or test squadron? Should still be f15 , king of the air now ;p Interesting, they even have an "eye altitude" , and they've blardy good clear skies uh?
  11. Urm, ain't D70 and lumix thingy a bit over flubberina's budget ah?
  12. Ahh, how much? Sorry ah.. not known for now, if need be, I go chk for u... since I'm also tempted to go buy something ;p (arghh!!) Some pple want size, some pple look out for "compatibility" (ie, do I ALREADY have compact flash/SD card/etc ? can dun buy anymore?) u know what i mean? some go for battery life, or brand or feature... so up to u lor, budget always can stretch one ;p
  13. Oh yea.. left out my recommendation! Personally, I would like Konica Minolta Z3 series ;p got anti-shake! But not too sure if it fits into da budget ;( Chk out sample pics taken, and u should have a rough idea of what it can/cannot do ;p
  14. Hmm there's some pple using normal digital cam (those Canon Axx series, etc) and attach a 50mm lens mounted in reverse -- super good macro ! http://clubsnap.org/forums/showthread.php?...t=macro+reverse Taken by someone using reversed micro lens (50mm) to convert into a macro-capable ps: generally the 50mm lenses are sharp enough (n cheap enough at $1xx)
  15. Urm, perhaps this might help Not too sure if I'd managed to grasp the concept too... anyone like to share?
  16. Oh yes, jimmers, the 300d is a good enough camera for most of us... As mentioned DSLR is very ex to upkeep if u wanna buy accessories -- chk ard ur kakis, are they using Nikon or Canon systems? So you can get something similar and then share equipment (ie, flash, lens, etc etc) when u need...
  17. Hi, just to add Always thought the FLM actually gives you a "smaller field of view" (ie, it gives you a more telephoto/closeup picture than what your actual focal length is), it does *NOT* give you the "extra zoom". Does it? For example, a 50 mm lens on a 1.6 crop factor would yield a 1.6 * 50 = ~80mm field of view, but your focal length is still that of 50mm, right? As for macro lenses, urm they can be quite ex -- esp the original ones! 3rd party don't often mean lousier quality, esp macro lenses. Apparently, Tamron and Sigma's 90mm/105mm lenses really measures up to Canon's original macro lens! But then again, are you able to tell the difference between how good and bad these lenses are? Usually Canon/Nikon/Leica/blah original lenses would still sell for more in 2nd hand mkt; but with the influx of pple into the hobby, this may no longer hold true (imagine one kid buy a 1000 lens and then sell it at 600... spoil market leow, right?) Yea, going into DSLR area is quite ex now... the body is cheap.. but the lenses... they dun really drop that much prices ;(((((((
  18. Upz for weishun! We no fate, else can buy from u ;(

    ANTS

The tank is kinda sealed ... some got lids where u can open to throw in food, etc (some w/ small holes for whatever aeration, i guess)... I'm not too sure if you need a Queen ant to get anything going.. or else it's not gonna last long I think. Some do provide kits to allow u to 'catch/bait' the ants (queen too), then put them into fridge (or freezer, forgot) to simulate hibernation... altho I'm not too sure the local ants in tropical area has a hibernation modeeee.. treat it like cyrogenics if you will ;p anyone got/saw anyone successfully having an ant colony? ps: think they do sell "live" ant colonies, altho' for what price and AVA allows or not, etc...
  20. bro, katong side too! near haig court area.. u?
  21. Me stay along Haig Road ! Name: Alvin Age:26 Addy: Haig Rd Occ: IT guy Fav hunt: LFS who sells healthy fishes ;p
  22. I think most cold storage have 'em, (no no, i don't work for cold storage or any other affliated blah blah blah) i found them hanging by the shelf...
  23. Yea, but I think it's fair to "cover" back the hours if u think linearly.... isn't that so in the pte sector as well? At any rate, the 5day wking week is surely good news for civil servants! imagine the hassle if u live far from ur working place that u potentially can save ;p
  24. Sorry ah, but where's the temp probe located? Could it be deployed in somewhere where the temp really is dynamic? ps: bad eyesight/spotting... might had missed it
  25. Yo!
