I am using Iceberg (Pure Drinking water), can't find the information on this water. Calling the supplier, they told me it is not DI water but the water has runs through some stages of purification. Not sure this water will be pure enough for the tank? Anyone?

Hi Patrick, better to read up on the sticky thread which will give you information which will save you hassle and $$$. What are you intent to keep? Fishes (fowl) or Reef (Fishes with Corals)? Important note: your tank are small, any change in parameter will affect the Live Stocks (LS) If fishes, then good to get some live rocks. They do contained bacteria, pods, hitch hikers(need to be careful). Dosing bacteria (try to measure it with your water size in Liters or Gallons). Too much will caused problem to your water. Check that skimmers are working as small tank, skimmers is the upmost important to filter away any unwanted stuff. Do place a dead market prawn so that it will give u ammonia spike, then it will turn to NO2 then NO3. Need a test kits to verify. Patient is the most important in Reefing. Not forgetting good husbandry like change water etc. I did start off with no knowledge and spent a lot of $$$ wasted. Equipment is important and get a good one so that you don't hav to waste all the effort building and then see something happened to the LS. Good luck and happy Reefing.

If this is your first fish should be okay. Btw PBT is itch magnet. Once you introduce other similar fishes, you have to prepare for it. Happy Reefing.

Bro, it pain me when I see death to any LS, especially when you are doing experiment. I believed you brought the LS from our fellow reefer and when they see what happened to the LS passed over, I am sure it sadden their heart. I have seen you asking and buying stuff, but with what you have shown is too much of a brutal to those precious LS. Hi guys and gals, I have a question which I hope can get some good advise. I have a Teco RA680 with me for a long time. Recently found that the Fan is not working and check the replacement cost is around $100. What do you think, should I repair or move on with new one? If yes, what is your recommendation am HP? My budget is about 200-300. Don't think can afford new one unless is around the range. My tank is 4x2x2.5 and a sump 3x1x1. So water is around 500L.

Hi Lance, I is saw a video on Youtube about how they consumed the Zoas. It was scary and interesting. Alot depends on luck as in this forum there are reefers whom have shared experience on certain microorganisium. Alot of advise that when brought Zoas, dipping is require using some chemical (need to check the web) or fresh water dipping to take out those hitch hikers. Do a search and you will find out more. Yap Mike...they are some swimming in my sump tank. I also have a small 5in holder for a handful of them But I know they are not Zoas safe...but good for fishes diet...sad n glad ?!?
