  1. ha ha will keep that in mind. currently tank "infested" with hairy algae but somehow this coral manage to compete against the algae. I love LR, everyday there's new discovery (good and bad).....just manage to catch a huge bristtle worm (~20cm) a couple of days ago ...... wonder how it manage to survive the tank cycling, LR high salinity treatment n "hide" for the past 4++mths.

  4. Any reefer can enlighten me on the life-span of T5 light. Is there any common practise wrt light replacement. I'm currently using Aquaz T5. Is there any different in life-span as compare to other brand. Thanx.
  5. Electricity tariff revision for the period 1 July to 30 September 2005 1 Electricity tariff will be increased by an average of 2.2 cents per kWh for the quarter, 1 Jul to 30 Sep 05.   7. yup thc is right. Although the manual state temperature precison control @ 1C, the chiller will kick in when the temp is 2C higher than the chiller setting (assuming both the hiller and tank temp are the same).   9. hate coraline alage..hee hee try sea urchin (Pincushion Urchin, Hairy Colored very cheap only)...very soon your LR will turn "botak". btw i thought coraline algae is wat we're striking for....i'ld rather hv coraline alage then my current green alage
  10. i think the coraline algae will grow back eventually but think u need to remove the fish 1st.

  14. read somewhere that can use high salinity treatment. soak the LR in a pail of high salinity water 1.03-1.04 (can't remember the figure) and remove all hitchhiker when they try to escape. wonder will the high salinity treatment kill the coraline algae??
  15. is your CO2 supply "off" during the night??? might be O2 deficiency, try using CO2 solenoid valve for cutting off the supply during nite. If not O2 issue, sorri dun kno liao
  16. i thought air bubble is a No No for jelly fish.
  17. the anemone will "settle" down once it find good comfortable location. observe for 1-2days. Can do a search on anemone for the valuable info SRC has for you.
