  1. i normally refrain from commenting on LFS. but i agree with panlee on this. Henry is very friendly and knowledgeable. IMO, he will find time for ALL his customers, regardless of 'size' but sometimes, his shop is too crowded and he is a one-man show!! so 'first-come, first-serve' or those who are genuinely selecting / buying something. so, we try to go on 'off-peak' hours....so that we can chat and learn from him and he always find time for his customers... and if we happen to chance upon a crowd, we understand that he is busy and has do not expect him to attend to us immediately. but if any customer need his help, he will assist. he also will not hover around u when u 'shop' and will assist u if needed... so maybe that's why some think he's 'tao' he is one of the few LFS owner who gives sincere advice and not just concern about making $$$.
  2. you lost him???? dun worry la... you know your cat very pampered... will come home soon... maybe out dating or catching birds .... want us to form search party??
  3. juz came back from SL ... didn't see any baby clown triggers. try LCK..... last weekend they still have quite a few.. what other triggers are u getting???
  4. that is A LOY of LR. Great looking tank! Once the SPS comes in, the colours will be stunning.
  5. DA just got his tunze. he gets carried away with that.... but you can either leave it be, wat I prefer to do. Let nature takes its course or as Deepblue says: put it near strong currents, some will float off. but you can't control which one. And I think sinn is asking a serious question. Guys, be constructive leh
  6. wow... its always nice to see your fish 'transform' before your eyes. really gives a sense of satisfaction and achievements. you inspire me to take more photos of my juv blue-face... i have been thinking of putting it in my trigger tank lately..... coz its such a pig and bully.... thanks for sharing the photos...
  7. i bought one on sunday... ask henry to save the smallest one... but it was still about 6 inches... my triggers and tusk left it alone... heng
  8. is it the 'true royal' or the equally nice 'brazillian'? i m looking for the 'royal' thanks for any info
  9. its a beautiful fish. but i read somewhere that is also called FATHEAD Anthias.... (so now, i get a kick out of telling deepblue "you have a fathead"!) btw, finally had the honour of meeting THE AT in person..
  10. really appreciate wming for organising such a session and sharing his knowledge. thanks to seahorse for giving us the priviledge to view his WOW tank. love your fishes!! and thanks to seahorse2 for being a gracious host. it was great meeting seahorse2 and baby seahorse. onghm, it was our pleasure, great knowing you. flubberina, you are as i imagine... lovable. it was great meeting the rest too.. esp william and his girls. will try to get the pics up asap...
  11. i also searched the whole room and found nothing... dun blame my trigger la... this damsel was living with my pink tail trigger and juv blue-face in another tank and my pink-tail is friendly esp towards damsel... but dare not vouch for the gangster angel... mmmmm... its just that, its not really a small fish and i found it MIA the evening i came home (morning was still there) detritivores so efficient????
  12. can i jump on your thread? coz 3-4 days ago, my damsel went missing!!!! no carcass, nothing!! move the rockwork and still zilch! why do fishes go MIA?
  13. i really wanted 2 dwarf angels in my fowlr tank... that's why i waited and bought and added them in at the same time.. they were ok initially until the lemon peel grew slightly bigger than the flame and started bullying it.. angels are generally not safe for a reef tank..
  14. ya lor..... been looking for it for long long long while. but really think the white wartskin is prettier..........
  15. But my lemon peel angel bullied my flame angel and my puny dottyback bullies my lemon peel... does that make my dottyback the king? go figure
  16. 3 inch pink tail. not very big... IMO, can 'squeeze'into the clown and anemone tank for the time being, will grow BIG. will most likely leave the clown and anemone alone. one of the more/most docile triggers. BUT the lyre tail is a different story. beautiful, graceful, aggressive and tireless swimmer. needs big tank. both loves shrimps, not reef safe
  17. my dottyback in my tank is fearless. it bullies my lemon peel, long nose hawk, is not afraid of the triggers or tangs..... i think its temperant is the worst among all my fishes.
  18. about $50... LC**** ... been looking for it for some time, but IMO, the white ones with yellow 'warts' are prettier... anyone seen that? LC**** still have a yellow one with brown blotches, and several ordinary looking ones. Re*** has the 'tassled' ones.
  19. note the angler's 'fishing rod' at the top of its head. its really cute when it wriggles it and try to entice the fishes....
  20. Here's the red angle that we just bought abt 2 weeks ago....
  21. yes. they are one of the more docile triggers. aggressiveness is one of the lowest in the trigger family. i have one and it does not bother other fishes, except my harlequinn tusk as it sees it as a threat to its food source as their sizes are abt the same.
  22. cute clown fish. what are the requirements for turtle weed? light? etc.... just bought a turf.... place it high on the rocks in my FOWLR. but my tang pecking it
  23. your niger bite them??? IMO, Niger is the most unpredictable trigger. coz u can get one as docile as a rabbit or one that is more aggressive/ballistic than a queen trigger. mine belongs to the second category... killed my damsel, bite my other triggers including clown trigger, angels..... etc had to give it away, tempted to get another but... too unpredictable.. still love them though, beautiful fins and swimming grace. saw titan triggers at Re*** and the big fellow was bullied by puny undulated !!
