Sun corals can thrive in total shade, hence the minimal lighting. But need high maintenance in feeding. If going skinmerless not such good idea.

I prefer mixture of hermit n snails. Urchins are effective at clearing hair algae but troublesome if u have frags. Mine has been sticking a zoa frag permanently to it's back

I support poomoon's idea. The tank lid can definitely be unscrewed n removed. Instead u can try raising the lid higher, use those pc fans as stand for ur lid, one side supply one side exhaust. Lid stand n cooler 2-in-1. Since ur tank 1ft, no choice gotta use pl lights. I believe it's 55w white n blue? Anything less ur corals will turn brown very soon.

It's quite hardy, but the feelers will just drop off if condition is not right. But dun pluck out if feelers drop cos might grow new one. Since still cycling stage, just throw in 1 market prawn n on water circulation. Most likely cycling not started. Lights n skimmer no need on. N just leave it untouched for 2 weeks first. Comy n Jacky, kh up, ca down. Rite? Correct me if I'm wrong n small pico tank, no need to bother with mg I guess

Sikiee, for ur coral buying, will be very nice if u just concentrate on getting frags of lps. Just my opinion
