It was set up to educate the public about the pains and joys of having a marine tank. You want a newbie to come in and read all about your "controversial reefkeeping methodologies"? He will probably be turned off and forget about reefing altogether. no problem with LPS, and i think its best that your shrimps have to be at least L size, and also avoid small hermits,snails etc. Tubeworms and cocos are a big no no.

1) Yes, they are rather sensitive to water changes/parameters. 2) Not sure, only kept 1 cowfush before, i got it at abt 2"(incl. tail) and it grew to abt 6" in less a year. 3) They are one of the most responsive marine animals i've ever kept! it's like keeping a dog!

cowfish are pigs....they eat anything...BBS, mysis, anything meating u throw in. and their favourite snack? tubeworms.

usually such stuff we do ourselves...its one of the fun part in the setting up. otherwise you can get some reefers staying ard ur area to help you or engage a tank maker.

I hate to say this but i gathered that most of the newer reefers dun like me but seriously, i dun give a hoot and as long as the regulars know my style, can liaoz.... i dun see the need to come in here and help help help and end up on the wrong side. Frankly, this is the REASON why reefers like morgan, robe,tanzy and the rest aren't bothered to dish out advises anymore... a very good example --> check out the lastest post by cookiemunster... anyway, thats just my bloody 2 cents.

your fish probably had died many days ago, thus the cocoon like thing, this due to the bacteria colonising it. as to why the head is missing...best bet is some kinda fierce predators, but dun think its mantis, cos mantis will eat the rest of the fish except the head, not the other way round.

You are looking at a environmentalist/so called "responsible" reefers point of view. They are looking at a "the more i sell, the more i earn" point of view. its a totally different perspective, btw BH, dun tell me u have never buy any fishes without knowing their husbandry and it dies on you shortly since u started reefing? If your answer is no, then i take my hat off you.
