  1. Sorry typo mistake, I mean put in both at the same time.
  2. I will pout Ian black cap n royal gramma at the same time to prevent fighting.
  3. Make sure that u do not go full blast on the led light which may b too bright for yr coral to adapt. U can raise higher / reduce intensity. Don quite understand some of yr reading but below are the range of basic acceptable reef parameter IMO PH 7.9-8.3 KH 7-10dKH Temp 26.5 - 28.5c PO4 0.03-0.1ppm/mg/l (max) for LPS NO3 <5ppm Calcium 380-450mg/l Salinity 1.023-1.025 (best) If unsure do water change of 35-50% n repeat after 1 week if necessary to correct perimeter. Pls note that some coral may decline due to poor collection methods.
  4. If looking for blotchy anthias n golden angel, ah Beng has it.
  5. I keep a blotchy anthias for abt 2 yrs n are consider easy to feed but they grow large very fast which is less desirable.
  6. I prefer GFO as they are easier to maintain by changing very 2-3 mths. However, refrigium may get messy for prolong period n u get other unwant algae growing.
  7. IMO, too many rock for a small tank n keep rock away from the 3 glass wall to enable u to clean with ease.
  8. Need yr input such as KH, PH , no3 n cal. What lighting are u providing.
  9. Yr house is so nice and clean, u should hv gotten a longer tank.
  10. I like yr nice and tidy sump comparment. Can show more pic.
  11. Beware of the red mushroom stinging yr monti. Mine mushroom multiplying so fast that it is spreading and burning my sps.
  12. I had mine set betw 26.5c and 28c (1.5c swing ) for sps dominated tank. Compressor take high amp when cut in so if too frequent, it draw consume more electrcity.
  13. I hv used twice and hv no effect on LPS but not sure with sps.
  14. U did not mentioned any sodium bicarbonate dosing, so yr KH will slowing deplete as consume by yr coral n can never increase. Measure yr KH n dose to maintain at best 9Kh. If KH rise, stop carbonate dosing till reaches the require level . Pls note that at all time not to decrease/increase KH more than 1KH per day.
  15. Do u hv a little algae in the tank ? Yr bio pellet may b removing yr no3 n u may try to reduce the bio pellet amt if u do not hv algae. beware that bio pellet will cause burn tip of yr sps if KH reach above 10.
  16. B careful not to intro too much coral food as it may increase yr nutrient in the water. I do not feed my sps dominated tank for 6 yrs n coral still thriving. Yr equipment level seem ok.
  17. SPS require high water movement, light n low nutrient unlike LPS. Perhaps u could enlighten yr equipment to better understand.
  18. Changing water in Big or small tank depend on bio load. Big tank has the advantage of providing stable perimeter due to volume of water. U mentioned that u only dose calcium and u don incl sodium bicarbonate, u need to check yr KH .
  19. What the temperature of the water? U may consider to buy a small fan to keep the temperature down for keeping coral but beware of high evaporate rate.
  20. SPS tank require stable water perimeter, movement, lighting (T5 /LED for reduce energy cost) and temperature (within 2C and max 29C ). IMO, non essential equipment such as wave maker, skimmer and light can be China made. If spoil u have time to replace. However return pump and chiller are important equipment that require reliaiblity and any failure may ruin your entire coral collections.
  21. Many demanding dominated sps tank using pre mixed for stable perimeter with good growth which also house fishes.
  22. Which skimmer u intend to use.
