  1. Oh. icic.. I am consider lucky.. My tangs is the most greedy one.. eat everything I gave.. For red bamboo they nip almost every few round they swim... I am fans on Henrys formula as well.. In fact, seaweed is type of algae too.. Let them try difference food.. you will find them enjoy more.. Cheers
  2. +1 Agree... Experience the same problem before... That is the reason I setup a link small QT tank with partition.. same water condition and no additional stress added.. fishes will add in different partition first for 2 months before transfer to main tank.. I believe stress play a important part of fish Immune system margin versus Ich... furthermore add many new fishes at once... the stress level multiply... Cheers...
  3. If still not yet open.. then better move to other spotted... although lots claim they are Low-Moderate lighting requirement.. I found they still prefer high light.. I got 3 branches of them, at different level.. I found that highers one which near to MH and T5 are the biggest polyps in long run.... about flow, try Give them moderate or indirect flow... Cheers

  11. Looks good.. natural sea water ~420mg/l. but do you swirl you solution when drip 1ml ca3? if yes then is ok.. Probably check your KH as well.. if both suggested positive result.. then is good. Cheers
  12. Hi, it is just the normal way reading syringe.. tip facing up and record down the reading.. also avoid from solution dripped... Just note now the reading on "black part of the piston" which your test outcome turn to clear blue from pink red. for instance pic illustrated below" 0.1ml remain on the 1ml syringe. add into your ppm ca formula ppm ca = (1 - 0.1) x 500 ppm ca = (0.9) x 500 ppm ca = 450 if your step one using 1ml instead of 2ml.. Then you need multiple by 2 ppm Ca = (1 - reading in step 6) x 500 x 2 Cheers
  13. oh.. ic.. yap.. normally, I clean the nozzle b4 cap on.. to prevent excess glue oxidation.. Lets see what is the outcome.. Cheers
  14. for boxer shrimp try Yellow coral banded shrimp (steponus cyanoscelis) or blue/purple coral banded shrimp (Steponus tenuirostris). I found normal type regular coral banded shrimp (Steponus Hispidus) or Gold coral banded shrimp (Steponus zanzibaricus) a bit too aggressive and territory. The first 2 photos below are Yellow and Blue coral band.. The last pic is normal Steponus Hispidus boxer shrimp.. And the size can be significant bigger the yellow and blue one... for Yellow watchman goby are supper hardy fish.. should be ok.. but they always hide... dun worry.. but patient.. start with 2 fishes first.. increase bioload too much is not healthy during tank cycle..... Cheers
  15. around 2 red note + one green note... Cheers
  16. I have one black mithrax crab similar size as your one >2" body only... this fella really trouble maker and pretty smart.. like to move rock and scrubbing coralline, super active during night time... And it is fast grower.. Mine also hide in big replica... About Sally crab, eye witness once at AM Jalan Kayu.. this fella keep attack one blue eye anthias... I believe that fish could be in nausea mode... But this telling us the Crab nature.. But I know some reefer keeping them without issue, I believe the tank size and space does matter...in fact, it is good hair algae eater... Cheers
