  1. wow...dimmable e-ballast.good price.
  2. haha...cool.i also have four sexy shrimps. they are really cute. i place them in diff. location of my tank and three of them found each other. one still missing. how many sexy shrimps u have ? maybe can get a small group. very cute in a colony shaking together.
  3. My favourites are... 1) Male Masked Swallow Angelfish it looks like an angel from above. 2)Japanese Angelfish 3)Hawaiian Flame Wrasse Fishes from heaven...
  4. if nobody wants to buy, i suggest u pass it to other reefers then dumping it into the sea. becos they are very sensitive, unless u are willing to slowly acclimate them by the seaside with your tank water and seawater. somemore the predators in there...think the shrimps will be gone...wun survive. just sparing a tot for the vulnerable creatures of yours. Hope someone who need them can buy them to avoid such unbearable tragedy. Cheers.
  5. PL and T5 are totally diff. try reading more abt them. T5 released less heat compare to PL and can penetrate greater depth too.
  6. dun ever do treatment or add medication to main tank. as there is no guarantee to ur inverts if u have any. continue to observe. how's the appetite ? feeding well ? water parameter all well ? and how's the other fishes ? any other additives or things u add into or change in your tank recently ? you need to know the source to determine the reason. it could be infection and could be stress. Tangs when stressed,
  7. wow...super deal. bro, if tubby buyer back out, let me know.
  8. Came across this page which discuss some commonly transmitted diseases to human. Wanna share with everyone. http://www.fishlore.com/Articles/DiseasesT...tedToHumans.htm Some include Fish TB,Salmonella and Mad Fish Disease. Wacky but true...interesting and good to know. Cheers.
  9. not sure abt that. for me, i use one pump each for both. if ur skimmer output is strong enough and can be connected to ur FR then why not ? shouldn't be a problem.
  10. $5 ??? i am interested if u are letting to let go at a much lower price...
  11. try only seachem before. have been using it for sometime, phos maintain at 0ppm(with mangrove) so didn't try other brands. but my review for this product is not bad. it doesn't remove phos right away but the effect will take up to 4 days. so this is what they recommend also. becos too fast removal of phos will shock the livestock. don't know abt the effectiveness of the other brands.
  12. cool..any updates ? how's the water now ? did it clear up ? and getting crabs from beach is not advisable. it will affect your livestocks in the future when adding in small fishes and shrimps. try getting a mini fan to cool down the tank. not asking u to on 24/7 but maybe if can afford, u can add a timer to it. or else just control it manually. so that at least u can some backup if the temperature suddenly rise up.
  13. try to search for other skimmers. this man not a honest dealer.also buy and resell at higher price. sure u can find a better deal elsewhere. just keep searching for sometime.
  14. put in activated carbon to remove that. normally cloudy water can be caused by many factors. most common will be spawning. not sure what's the factor here now but try using activated carbon to clear it up and what is ur phos level ? zero ?
  15. welcome to the hobby. so fast u add in corals.goodness and fire scallop dun stand a chance to survive long in captivity. ur tank is still new, i suggest u stop adding any stock and deal with ur algae problem first. spend more money and time on your filter system and circulation cos it's worth it in a long run. if not, u end up stocking more if these stocks ended up somewhere. especially if the algae growth is not under control, it will be a big headache. and many times they can grow up to ur brain corals causing them to shrink. u using any wavemaker ? low circulation can caused algae growth. and get some snails or algae grazers to graze on them. Cheers. marine tank needs some patience.
  16. haha..cool.small tank.u fixing up a FR ar ? what's ur filter medium ? think phosphate production will be small. why not just put it in ur IOS first then observe the level ? cos previously i have a small tank, don't really need to utilize FR cos most probably you will like to keep the tank looking tidy since u dun have a sump to hide these equipment. FR gonna take up some space.
  17. can.as long as the fish is so-called reef-safe which means they dun eat ornamental shrimps. anthias and firefish shouldn't be a problem. anyway just found out that the shop infront of pacific reef selling 3dollars for one and 4 of them at a even lower price. cheers.
  18. hahha...update the results here cos i am thinking of doing that too. or is it possible to run one pump thru two chillers ? but i think two chillers compare to one, the electricity consumption will still be more for two. it's the same as using two smaller wavemaker to achieve one larger wavemaker's activity. cos running two compressor will be more compare to one compressor.
  19. like that u need 2 pump for chiller ? i am also thinking of that.haha..anyone using two chillers ? read one guy's tank that he use two to backup in case mH timer spoilt.
  20. hahaha...goodness..maybe i plan on getting a new ph meter then.haha.
